Smartcard Management
Request, approve, issue, suspend and revoke sign-in smartcards, with a record of every step.
No per-user pricing for up to 50 users.
Smartcard Management issues and looks after the cards your people use to sign in with a certificate. Serlix holds the requests, approvals, history and PIN unlock keys. Two small Windows programs do the work that has to happen at the card reader and at your certificate authority.
It is the card management behind our Passwordless Managed Identity service. The private key is created on the card and never leaves it.
Card sign-in
People sign in with a card and its PIN instead of a password.
Request, approve, issue
Raise a request for a person, have an approver authorise it, then write the card at the reader PC. Nothing is signed without a recorded approval.
Guided enrolment
The enrolment app walks through each step with a blank card. If a step fails, the request says why and can be tried again.
Every request checked
Serlix confirms a request asks for exactly the approved certificate and nothing more, before your certificate authority ever sees it, and checks the certificate again when it returns.
Hold, lift or end a card
Suspend a card that may turn up and reactivate it when it does. Revoke one for good with a reason, passed to the certificate authority in the standard way.
Cards you can identify
Every card has a card number printed on its skin, with validity dates and printed details such as role kept alongside.
PIN unlock keys under lock
Unlock keys are stored in a separate secure vault. Showing one needs a permission and a reason, and every look is recorded.
Records that stay
Every request, approval, signing, revocation and key look goes on a history that cannot be edited or deleted. Card records are never removed.
Look people up
Optionally search your organisation's directory for the person instead of typing their details.
Handled with care
The card apps only read cards and refuse any card that holds keys they should not touch.
Who can do what
- Separate permissions to view, request, approve or reject, suspend and revoke, reveal a PIN unlock key and register devices.
- Administrators hold them all. You grant them to other roles as you choose.
