Shifts and Time Clock

Time clock, timecards, rota and leave, so your team's hours are looked after.

No per-user pricing for up to 50 users.

A shift is simply a person's own time clock. Staff start it themselves from the Home screen or their phone, and the server clock is the only clock, so nobody can fiddle the times.

It stands apart from the till. A shift is not needed to sell or open a register.

Clock in, out and break

Start and end shifts and breaks from anywhere signed in to Serlix. Unpaid breaks come off the hours.

Shared time clock

Put a kiosk page on a shared device. Staff tap their own four-digit PIN to clock in, out or take a break.

Gentle reminders

A banner reminds people to start their shift, due-in emails go out, and chosen managers hear if someone has not clocked in.

Timecards you can approve

Hours per person by day, week or pay period. A supervisor approves each timecard, which locks it. Later changes need an administrator.

Corrections with a reason

Supervisors can edit or add a shift with a reason. Staff can request a correction. Old and new times are always recorded.

Weekly rota

Plan the week by person, repeat it from templates, copy a week and publish it. Staff see only what has been published.

Leave and absence

Set your own leave types, allowances, carry-over and leave year. Staff request, managers approve or decline with a note, and approved leave shows on the rota.

Planned against actual

Timecards flag late starts, early finishes, missed shifts and unplanned hours. Time logged on tickets sits alongside.

Pay rates and export

Hourly rates with effective-from dates, optional overtime and weekend or bank holiday multipliers, and a CSV of approved hours. Rates are visible only to roles allowed to see them.

Working time warnings

Managers see warnings for long averages, short rests and missing breaks, based on the Working Time Regulations. You set the thresholds, or switch them off.

Set up your way

  • Pay period (weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly or monthly) and week start day.
  • Rounding of paid time: none, or to the nearest 5, 10 or 15 minutes. Exact times are always kept.
  • Overtime by daily or weekly threshold and multiplier. It is off until you switch it on.
  • Automatic clock-out after a number of hours, flagged for review.
  • Hours shown as 7h 30m or as decimals.
  • Everyone sees their own shifts, timecard and leave. Supervisors see everyone's hours. Pay rates stay with the roles you choose.
